-- TAKE ACTION NOW --

Target legislators need to hear from you.

(See below for more details)

In light of the Legislature’s failure to pass the University of Pittsburgh’s and the other state-related universities’ appropriation bills, we are activating the grassroots network once again—alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends.

The message is straightforward—we are four months into the new fiscal year, the General Fund budget has been passed, there are sufficient revenues in the enacted General Fund budget to fund the state-related universities and it is irresponsible to hold these bills hostage to the detriment of some 158,000 students at these four universities.

We need to generate as many letters and contacts as possible this week, before the PA House of Representatives comes back into session on November 9.

The suggested method of communication is FAX or mailed letter. Letters should be faxed or mailed to legislators at their district office. If you don’t have access to FAX or cannot mail letters by Tuesday, please email all listed PA Representatives.

For a sample letter, talking points and district office contact information including FAX, phone, mailing addresses and email addresses see the list of resources below.
